NCLEJ and Partners Create Quick Reference Guide for New York State Workers Impacted by COVID-19

As the COVID-19 crisis continues, more and more people are out of work or unable to work, and the patchwork of government programs available to provide some relief can be confusing and difficult to navigate.  NCLEJ, Make the Road New York, and the Legal Aid Society, along with our partners at the New York City Low Wage Workers’ Task Force, have created a quick reference fact sheet to assist workers in New York in figuring out which programs are the best fit for them.

The fact sheet includes information about new programs for workers enacted in response to COVID-19, including New York State emergency leave and federal emergency leave programs; established programs for workers including unemployment insurance; and public benefits programs like SNAP, WIC, and cash assistance.

The fact sheet is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Nepalese.  Additional languages are forthcoming and will be linked from this page as they become available.
