Sandra Wences

Administrative Assistant

Sandra joined NCLEJ in October 2023. She is from East Harlem, where she started her working career at the New York Public Library Aguilar Branch. She moved on within NYPL to the Adult Learning Center in Lower Manhattan. There she assisted new immigrants and native New Yorkers alike getting enrolled in English language and literacy classes. Prior to joining NCLEJ she worked as an office assistant at a structural engineering consulting firm.

Sandra received her associate degree in liberal arts at CUNY Queensborough Community College, where she was editor and contributor to the college newspaper, Queensborough Communique.
