NCLEJ Opposes the Federal Government’s Efforts to Limit ACA Marketplace Coverage
NCLEJ takes action to protect health care for low-income and immigrant communities. We submitted comments opposing the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ proposed rule that would limit low-income families’ ability to obtain health coverage through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace. The proposed rule would cut the open enrollment period in half, limit the opportunity to enroll in coverage, restrict special enrollment by increasing paperwork and barriers, eliminate requirements for insurers to maintain adequate networks, and disrupt access to coverage.
